Last year I decided that I will miss Advent in Prague. and I'll go out into the heat. No frosts, no stress, just disappear for three whole weeks and not come back until Christmas Eve. I combined business with pleasure and set off for a language course in Barbados. How did I spend these three weeks?
Relaxing Monday in Barbados
My vacation in Barbados has moved into its second week and after the action weekend I made an appointment a well-deserved restart. Monday started with school, but the rest of the day was all about sand, sea, and total relaxation in a Caribbean paradise.
Morning routine or breakfast fit for a king
Every day here starts in a similar rhythm, which I enjoy immensely. I get up around 6:30, and even though I think I'm not an early bird, The whole family has been on alert for a long time now.. I don't understand how they do it, but Ricky is usually standing at the stove doing magic by now.
The truth is, they take care of me like their own. As soon as I open my eyes, I have the ingredients for my morning coffee ready, all I have to do is pour it and it lands in front of me in no time. royal breakfast. There are various toasts, eggs in all kinds of ways, bacon or fresh fruit and fresh juice. It's the best start you could wish for on the road.
From school to Rockley Beach
As soon as the morning classes ended, my steps led unmistakably towards the coast. No big move, the beach is just a short walk from the school. Rockley Beach. It's exactly the type of beach where you just stare at the horizon and don't think about anything at all.
Besides, on this side of the island, which is washed by the Caribbean Sea, it doesn't really matter where you lie down. All the beaches have the same perfect fine sand and the water is so incredibly turquoise and warm that you don't want to get out of it even after an hour.
Three minutes of rain and a lightning return to sunshine
On the other hand, even in paradise, a cloud appears from time to time, literally. I'm lying on my blanket, getting my tan on, and suddenly a classic tropical shower comes rushing in. It only lasted maybe three minutes, during which I quickly grabbed my blanket, He hid under the nearest palm tree. and watched the roar.
As soon as the last drop fell, the sun was shining again in full force, I he unpacked the blanket again and continued doing nothing. The afternoon then flew by and I sped off in my favourite ZR taxi (those crazy white vans) to Oistins and home, where a hot dinner was waiting for me. Another great day in paradise behind me.
