🙋♂️ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How to best use these travel tips in practice?
Don't expect all-inclusive packages from travel agencies. All of these travel tips are designed for people who want to experience authentic and independent travel on their own. Every hack, app, or trick I share here has been personally tested by me on my travels around the world - whether it was catching local buses in Barbados, road trips in the US, or exploring the wildlife in Costa Rica and Mauritius. Just go through the individual tiles and put together your own travel plan.
Which step should I start with if I want to plan a trip without a travel guide?
The basic building block is always the flight tickets. Once you catch a good deal or a stopover (like the brilliant free Touristanbul), the rest is easy. The second step is to secure reliable accommodation and an itinerary. I recommend only a few days before departure to deal with technical details - such as mobile data abroad via Airalo, travel insurance, mandatory registrations (e.g. ESTA to the USA) and downloading useful offline applications.
How often do you update these travel tips and guides?
The world of travel is changing incredibly fast. Mobile apps come and go, airline policies get stricter, and eSIM data prices fluctuate. That's why I regularly review these travel tips and add fresh insights from my current travels. I want these texts to be a 100% reliable companion for you every time you pack your backpack.
