Ve 20. letech 20. stolet\u00ed se toti\u017e p\u0159ilehl\u00e9 pozemky nach\u00e1zely v nev\u00e1bn\u00e9m stavu, a t\u00edmto neot\u0159el\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem cht\u011bli obchodn\u00edci p\u016fdu zatraktivnit pro potenci\u00e1ln\u00ed kupce.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00da\u010delem bylo propagovat n\u00e1zev nov\u00e9ho bytov\u00e9ho rozvoje m\u00edsta Whitley Heights, bydlen\u00ed jen pro b\u00edl\u00e9, mezi Highland Avenue a Vine Street. Kothe nebyl zran\u011bn, ale jeho Ford byl \u00fapln\u011b zni\u010den\u00fd, stejn\u011b jako p\u016fvodn\u00ed p\u00edsmeno H, v\u010detn\u011b jeho osv\u011btlen\u00ed. V roce 1949 uzav\u0159ela Hollywoodsk\u00e1 obchodn\u00ed komora smlouvu s m\u011bstem Los Angeles na opravu a p\u0159estavbu n\u00e1pisu. Records,\u00a0Alice Cooper\u00a0a Dennis Lidtke) dalo dohromady celkem 250 000 $. P\u00edsmena byla vyroben\u00e1 z\u00a0oceli, dr\u017een\u00e1 ocelov\u00fdmi podp\u011brami polo\u017een\u00fdmi na\u00a0betonov\u00e9m\u00a0z\u00e1kladu.<\/p><p>Renovaci provedla v roce 2005 zdarma spole\u010dnost Bay Cal Commercial Painting, p\u00edsmena byla znovu polo\u017eena na kovovou z\u00e1kladnu a p\u0159ebarvena na b\u00edlo. Pokud hled\u00e1\u0161 levn\u00e9 ubytov\u00e1n\u00ed a nepot\u0159ebuje\u0161 luxus ani sn\u00eddan\u011b, pak m\u016f\u017eu jen doporu\u010dit. Do filmov\u00fdch studi\u00ed je to chvilka, po Chodn\u00edku sl\u00e1vy chod\u00ed\u0161 ka\u017ed\u00fd den a ani n\u00e1pis Hollywood nen\u00ed \u00fapln\u011b daleko. M\u016f\u017ee\u0161 si ud\u011blat kr\u00e1sn\u00fd p\u011b\u0161\u00ed v\u00fdlet. A to fakt doporu\u010duju.\u00a0<\/p><p>Od hotelu jsem autobusem popojel po Hollywood Boullevardu na zast\u00e1vku Hollywood\/Western (z m\u011bsta se sem dostane\u0161 i metrem).\u00a0 Ze zast\u00e1vky jsem se vydal do m\u00edrn\u00e9ho kopce do Griffith parku.<\/p><p>Nejd\u0159\u00edv jde\u0161 klasicky po chodn\u00edku u silnice, pak p\u0159ejde\u0161 na p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00ed cestu. M\u00edsty se m\u00edrn\u00fd kopec zm\u011bn\u00ed na trochu prud\u0161\u00ed a mo\u017en\u00e1 se u toho<strong> trochu zad\u00fdch\u00e1\u0161<\/strong>. Ale za chvilku doraz\u00ed\u0161 ke Griffithov\u011b observato\u0159i, kter\u00e1 se ty\u010d\u00ed nad m\u011bstem. Trasa je dost zn\u00e1m\u00e1, tak\u017ee cestou potk\u00e1v\u00e1\u0161 spoustu dal\u0161\u00edch lid\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed m\u00ed\u0159\u00ed stejn\u00fdm sm\u011brem nebo u\u017e zp\u011bt.\u00a0<\/p><p>Od zast\u00e1vky k observato\u0159\u00ed ujde\u0161 <strong>p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 3 km<\/strong>, p\u0159ev\u00fd\u0161en\u00ed je 226 metr\u016f. Ve sv\u00e9 z\u00e1v\u011bti pak v\u011bnoval finan\u010dn\u00ed prost\u0159edky pro vybudov\u00e1n\u00ed observato\u0159e, v\u00fdstavn\u00ed s\u00edn\u011b a planet\u00e1ria pr\u00e1v\u011b na tomto darovan\u00e9m pozemku. Jeho c\u00edlem bylo zp\u0159\u00edstupnit astronomii ve\u0159ejnosti, na rozd\u00edl od p\u0159evl\u00e1daj\u00edc\u00ed my\u0161lenky, \u017ee observato\u0159e maj\u00ed b\u00fdt um\u00edst\u011bny na vrcholc\u00edch hor a vyhrazeny pouze v\u011bdc\u016fm.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p>Stavba byla zah\u00e1jena v roce 1933 a o dva roky pozd\u011bji byla hv\u011bzd\u00e1rna a doprovodn\u00e9 expozice otev\u0159eny ve\u0159ejnosti. Bylo to t\u0159et\u00ed planet\u00e1rium v zemi. Mapy na\u0161ly trasu dlouhou asi 5 kilometr\u016f, nic n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9ho.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--light-bg-color); color: var(--text-color-normal); font-size: 1rem;\">Nejd\u0159\u00edv jsem \u0161el po chodn\u00edku kolem parkuj\u00edc\u00edch aut, a pak odbo\u010dil u\u017e na uzav\u0159enou cestu a za chvilku z n\u00ed uhnul na vy\u0161lapanou p\u011b\u0161inu.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>P\u011b\u0161inka se postupn\u011b v\u00edc a v\u00edc zu\u017eovala, ke\u0159\u00edky se v\u00edc a v\u00edc p\u0159ibli\u017eovaly a zv\u011bt\u0161ovaly.<\/p><p>A\u017e jsem za\u010dal m\u00edt pochybnosti, jestli jdu spr\u00e1vn\u011b. Auta sem nem\u016f\u017eou.<\/p><p>N\u00e1pis je u\u017e dlouho <strong>oplocen\u00fd a p\u0159\u00edstup p\u0159\u00edmo k n\u011bmu je zak\u00e1z\u00e1n<\/strong>. A to jak z vrchn\u00ed strany, tak ze spodn\u00ed. Zejm\u00e9na kv\u016fli vandal\u016fm a lidem, kte\u0159\u00ed na p\u00edsmena lezli.<\/p><p>Mus\u00ed\u0161 se proto spokojit s pohledem z kopce nad n\u00edm. J\u00e1 spokojen\u00fd byl. <strong>V\u00fdhled je to par\u00e1dn\u00ed<\/strong>. Chvilku si sedne\u0161, d\u00e1\u0161 si sva\u010dinu, kouk\u00e1\u0161 jen tak na vyhl\u00eddku do okol\u00ed a \u0159\u00edk\u00e1\u0161 si, tak to je on. To je ten slavn\u00fd n\u00e1pis, kter\u00fd zn\u00e1\u0161 z mnoha film\u016f a fotek. Jedno m\u00edsto nen\u00ed na map\u011b pojmenovan\u00e9, tak jsem ti ho vyzna\u010dil <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/MZ3ehcNwSxd7cX798\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tady<\/a> a druh\u00e9 se v map\u011b jmenuje <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/Vd3VEJ1DcXL4cdo17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Last House on Mulholland<\/a>. Jen k n\u011bmu z prvn\u00ed vyhl\u00eddky mus\u00ed\u0161 proj\u00edt brankou, co se tv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed, jako\u017ee soukrom\u00fd, pozemek, ale neboj, norm\u00e1ln\u011b se sem chod\u00ed a vede tudy norm\u00e1ln\u00ed silnice.\u00a0<\/p><p>A od t\u00e9to vyhl\u00eddky pak u\u017e zb\u00fdv\u00e1 jen cesta uli\u010dkami zp\u011bt o centra Hollywoodu, do hotelu, p\u0159\u00edpadn\u011b n\u011bkam na MHD. J\u00e1 si to dal odsud a\u017e do hotelu p\u011b\u0161ky. To bylo dal\u0161\u00edch asi 5 kilometr\u016f.
